Long stemmed roses and rose petals are not the same and I guarantee that a 500 dollar bouquet weighs more than an ounce. Of course prices go up on popular flower holidays, like Valentines and Mother's day, when demand goes up so does cost. Basic Econ101 is about supply and demand...not greed. Growing MJ, today, adds risk and expense but only socialists/communists think that it's wrong to be fairly compensated or to make a profit.

Marijuana is not JUST a plant, it's a very special plant. Oregano is JUST a plant but if somebody sold you that instead of MJ, you'd be pissed. If it was JUST a plant it wouldn't be popular nor illegal but the reason it IS popular and illegal is because it gets you high and no amount of pretending otherwise will change that. The fact that it's medicine too helps but that also makes it more of a special plant and not JUST a plant.

I've known many growers too, I've been one for decades. The market dictates prices and if it's not worth the cost, the prices come down. I know, I've had to change my wholesale prices many times over the years when the markets changed and supply/demand varies.

Again, you can claim there are no cons or that unicorn magic is fueled by kitten and puppy power but reality is another thing altogether. Facts show otherwise whether or not you want to admit them or accept them is up to you. No amount of denial will change facts and facts are not subjective.

Potency is going to depend on how strong your GD is and how much you use. This is double the potency of the recipe I found because just 1 tablespoon doesn't really wet the sugar evenly enough for a good infusion but I know that 2 tablespoons/1oz is just right and 2oz is dangerous.
Tell us the one about how there aren't any cons again. Pretend there's no such thing as *too much* because, after all, it's just a plant.

It's pretty evident that we don't live in the same world and never have and never will, at least on this subject. I no longer play word games for the sake of discussion. It is just a plant and I have been sold oregano for pot, or at least they tried. I wasn't pissed, I was just sorry for the jokers who tried to sell it because they didn't know. I got them stoned the right way instead. That was 44 years ago. What got me pissed was someone trying to gouge the price and it still does. If I bought oregano I would be pissed at myself for being so stupid. There are no cons to marijuana. Those you list have nothing to do with marijuana but in the environment that surrounds it. I side with Jesus throwing the money tenders from the temple and I'm not even christian. :)

No more semantics from me. Read the quote. I never said anything about "too much", I said "dangerous". I don't consider that a con although you may if you're not that confident in your ability to handle it. Maybe you should only use a quarter tablespoon instead of even one full one if you ever make it. :)

You're right, I'll never see eye to eye with socialism. Socialism is slavery. Jesus just overturned their change table and He was a capitalist too not that you would know or admit that either. :D

It's not semantics, you can't redefine cons because you don't want to admit that there are some. Price is a con but you're too stubborn to admit it so you try to blame the grower and seller but that doesn't change the fact that MJ is expensive. If you can take too much and have a bad reaction (that's an overdose (not fatal of course)) that's a con too and your semantical game of "there are no cons because I refuse to admit it" is intellectually dishonest and silly to boot. Happy can see that there ARE cons, why can't you? ;)

Even NORML knows there are cons, they're just honest enough to admit it. What does NORML think?
Principles of Responsible Use
"Adults Only
Cannabis consumption is for adults only. It is irresponsible to provide cannabis to children.

Many things and activities are suitable for young people, but others absolutely are not. Children do not drive cars, enter into contracts, or marry, and they must not use drugs."

What? It's a DRUG? You said it was JUST a plant. If there are no cons, then why not for kids?

"No Driving
The responsible cannabis consumer does not operate a motor vehicle or other dangerous machinery while impaired by cannabis, nor (like other responsible citizens) while impaired by any other substance or condition, including some medicines and fatigue."

WHAT? Impaired? How can that be, there are no cons but, surely, impairment is a con? Unless you're too stoned to admit it...

"Resist Abuse
Use of cannabis, to the extent that it impairs health, personal development or achievement, is abuse, to be resisted by responsible cannabis users.

Abuse means harm. Some cannabis use is harmful; most is not."

Uh oh... Somebody's reality is going to be crashing in upon them. If it can be harmful...that's a con. Don't admit it though, the truth is hard and scary.

If you can't even be honest enough to admit that there ARE some cons, you can't be taken seriously on this subject. Are you sure that you're not related to Slick Willy? He wanted to argue that "it depends on what the definition of 'is' is" and you deny that cons are actually cons.

Look man, I know you're not an idiot but it's ignorant to claim that there are zero cons. That's like when addicts claim they don't have a problem when confronted. Denial isn't a river in Egypt... :D

I can see both sides of this...most of the cons that I can think of are a result of our society....or ourselves.

Of course they are and not everyone has the same cons apply to them, specifically, but they exist.

The topic of conversations is:
"Pros & Cons
Discuss the Pros & Cons of Cannabis use/abuse."

Trying to claim that there aren't *any* cons is like saying the moon is made of cheese. It's just not so.

Green Cheese, to be accurate. Boy, it sure is easy to manipulate you. That's why I don't participate in subjective debates, it's just too easy to get a silly rant out of someone. Two can play at that game and I'm a master. You tried with "dihydrogen oxide", but it came up short.

You're the one who got spanked for trying to claim that there are no cons, if you want to make up stuff to make yourself feel better now that's up to you. The difference between your silly dishonest claim and the DHMO (dihydrogen MONoxide) joke was everything said about DHMO is true. :D

Claiming that there are no cons to MJ use/abuse is like claiming that lung cancer isn't a con for cigarette smoking.

Keep trying to dig yourself out of that hole though, your desperation amuses me.

Well the tobacco reference is a good parallel IMO...

The tobacco plant itself may be completely harmless and a part of nature....

But when it is USED/ABUSED by mankind it becomes a loaded with cons for most....

Same difference??
